Helping people get back on track

María Victoria Alarcón

What is your professional background?

“In 2008 I obtained a diploma in nursing from Escuela de Ciencias de la Salud de la Universidad de Málaga. I also have two specialisations and a masters degree.

I have been working in the addiction field since 2010, the year in which I started my career at the MonteAlminara centre, now Triora MonteAlminara.”

What do you enjoy most about working for Triora?

“What I most like about my work is being able to help people get back on track and find a happier life away free of addiction. For that they need our help.

The greatest satisfaction is being able to see how patients change - from how they are when they arrive to how they are when they leave. Not only on a physical level, but in all aspects of their lives. And to see the illusion, and sometimes also apprehension, with which they leave our centre to return to their professional lives.”
