Committed to providing the best possible addiction care

Rafael Campos

What is your professional background?

“I am a GP who accidentally discovered an interest in addictive disorders when assigned as a doctor to an army psychiatric hospital during my military service, which was mandatory at that time. That was over 30 years ago now, and since then I have developed my professional career in psychiatry and addiction.

I have worked in a whole variety of settings: hospital detoxification units, outpatient treatment centres, therapeutic communities, and penitentiary institutions. I combine my activity, fundamentally clinical care, with research interests and I collaborate with the Biomedical Research Institute of Malaga in different areas of work.”

What do you enjoy most about working for Triora?

“At Triora I have discovered a group of people who are enthusiastic about helping those who suffer from addiction. I share Triora’s philosophy of considering the human being in all its dimensions, of paying attention to both the physical aspects of the disease as well as the psychological ones, and involving aspects related to a patient’s social and family environment as well as the spiritual one.

I also share the view that peer group interaction can facilitate support in rehabilitation, and hold the individual responsible for their own recovery process.”

“It is a pleasure for me, someone who feels satisfied with their vocation in this health area, to work for a company that is equally committed to providing the best possible care.”
