Triora’s aftercare is provided on an outpatient basis, which means that after initial inpatient or outpatient treatment, you can continue to visit a Triora clinic for individual counselling and aftercare group sessions. Alternatively, individual aftercare sessions can be provided online via videoconferencing on our new secure online portal on Karify.
How long does aftercare continue?
Our inpatient programme includes 10 aftercare sessions. Additional aftercare sessions can be arranged after this, and for people who have completed our outpatient programme. The duration of the aftercare programme is determined by your own needs.
What does aftercare involve?
The main focus of the aftercare programme is on putting the skills you have learned into practice in your daily life. We help you to shape a new life, without the use of addictive substances on leaving the clinic. Themes that are dealt with in this period include coping with setbacks and dealing with relationships.
Should I join a self-help group?
During your treatment with Triora, you will become familiar with the concept of self-help. After completing our treatment, self-help groups can also provide crucial support – anywhere in the world. Research has shown that participating in such groups after overcoming an addiction, results in a greater chance of maintaining recovery over the long term.
A number of the best known self-help groups are:
• Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)
• Narcotics Anonymous (NA)
• Cocaine Anonymous (CA)
High long-term recovery rate
